Edwin Mutyenyoka has successfully defended his PhD at the Osnabrueck University’s Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS). His thesis applied Afrocentricity as a critical framework for challenging and dismantling colonial legacies in migration and welfare discourses, centering migrants’ agency and lived experiences in Johannesburg, South Africa, during the Covid-19 Pandemic. We congratulate Edwin on this major milestone and look forward to his continued contributions to the PolMig Project.
